Michael Grosberg to join Coalition at a Pivotal Time for Small Employers awaiting ERTC refunds

December 19, 2023

Washington, D.C. – The Coalition to Preserve American Jobs (“CPAJ”) a 501(c) (4) advocacy organization today announced the election of Michael Grosberg of Boston Growth Partners, Melissa Gierach of DLA Piper and Robert Jackson of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (“NAMA”) to its Board of Directors.

With American jobs at stake, the new CPAJ will spotlight the severe impact that COVID-19 government policies had on private industries and how important Congress and the President’s ERC response assisted local communities to keep jobs, pay taxes and be one of Washington’s success stories of the pandemic.

"When confronted with the grim prospect of laying off employees or boarding up shop due to COVID-19 restrictions, I've personally observed the resilience and sacrifices made by small, local employers across America. Despite facing unprecedented and long lasting challenges, they kept their doors open, continued issuing paychecks, and paid their taxes," said Michael Grosberg, Board of Directors member of CPAJ, and CEO of Boston Growth Partners, a management consulting firm. "CPAJ will highlight the success of the ERC, a cost-effective and worthwhile pandemic program that directly supported jobs in local communities. Although Congress and the President pledged a refund of self-funded payroll taxes during their struggles, many are still anxiously awaiting updates."

Boston Growth Partners is honored to see Michael asked to contribute best practices, controls and procedures that helped get employers back on their feet with a refund of self-funded payroll taxes.  Those legitimate employers that did the right thing were able to keep paychecks going, pay taxes, pay higher wages and shoulder the cost increases we’ve all experienced.

About Coalition to Preserve American Jobs (CPAJ)

CPAJ mission is to educate and advocate for job creators across America in different industries.  One of the key policy areas is the Employee Retention Tax Credit (“ERC”) and informing policy makers on the good that has resulted from this cost effective and worthwhile pandemic program.
